Refund Policy
Consultation Fees
When a client provides payment for a consultation, the same may be refunded in full if the client cancels the appointment at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled date. However, where payment is made within 48 hours of the consultation, the fees are non-refundable. Consultation fees are credited to the overall legal fees should we be retained within 10 business days.
Rescheduling of Consultation
A client may reschedule a consultation after payment is made. There are no applicable fees where the request to reschedule is made at least 24 hours prior to the consultation. All requests to reschedule made within 24 hours of the consultation is subject to a rescheduling fee of CAD$30.
Legal Fees
Our services are provided on a “flat fee” basis. This amount will be agreed upon by our office and the client at the end of the consultation or during any time prior to the signing of a formal retainer agreement. If the client wishes to discontinue their matter with our office after a retainer is signed, we will refund all fees held in trust, subject to a deduction of payment for any percentage of their file for which work has been completed, up to the point of receiving instructions to discontinue.
If a payment is made in error or for an incorrect amount, please contact our office immediately for a refund and/or correction.
